  • How much data does VOZ use?

  • VOZ messages are highly compressed and takes as little as 2KB per second of audio. That’s about 20 times smaller than a typical MP3 file of the same duration.
  • What does the red bubble icon mean?

  • The red bubble icon indicates how many messages you have from the contact.
  • What does the transparent red bubble mean?

  • The transparent red bubble means that there is a message you can replay.
  • What does the envelope icon mean?

  • The envelope icon means that the contact still has messages from you that he has not listened to.
  • How do I listen to a message privately?

  • You can tap to play the message then immediately bring the phone to your ear.
  • Is VOZ secure?

  • All communication with the server is encrypted in transit and cannot be eavesdropped. Phone numbers are encrypted with a one-way hash on the server.
  • How long are messages kept on the server?

  • Read messages are deleted after they are played. Unread messages are deleted after 30 days. We do not keep message history or logs.
  • How long can each message be?

  • Each voice message can last up to 5 minutes. As your recording reaches the time limit, you will see a countdown in the record icon. At the end of the countdown it will stop automatically and the message will be sent.
  • How do I add a contact?

  • VOZ uses the phone’s built-in contact list or address book, so you can just add the contact via the phone’s contact list or address book app.
  • What happens if my contact has multiple phone numbers?

  • If a contact has multiple phone numbers and none are registered with VOZ, the first time you send the contact a message VOZ will send an SMS to each of the contact’s mobile numbers to notify the person of your message.
    Once a contact has mobile numbers that are registered with VOZ, it will be sent to the latest number that sent you a message.
    If you have a need to distinguish each of the contacts’ numbers, it is recommended that you split the contact into multiple contacts
  • Will I be charged for SMS sent by VOZ?

  • No the SMSs are sent from the VOZ server and you will not be charged.
  • How do I use VOZ with my Samsung Gear watch?

  • To use VOZ on your Samsung Gear watch, you must install it via the Gear Manager App. If you already installed it via Google Play, delete it from your phone and install it via Gear Manager. It will install VOZ on both your phone and watch.
  • How do I use VOZ with my Android Wear watch?

  • When you install the VOZ Android app, the app will automatically appear on your connected Android Wear watch.
  • I can’t hear the message on my smart watch.

  • Please make sure the volume (specifically the multimedia volume for Samsung Gear) is turned up.
  • Why do I not see all my contacts on my smartwatch?

  • Due to the display size and resource limitations on smartwatches, only the first 48 favorite and recent contacts are displayed on the smartwatch.
